Residences

This house is in Diamond Heights, at the base of Glen Canyon. It has been sold twice since 1999 (it's January 2003 as I write), and I have gone to both open houses. Inside the front door is a small courtyard. As you step from the courtyard through sliding glass doors to the house, you enter a living area that has a wall of glass looking into the canyon (the views stink since it is so low). Part of the living space is a bedroom. To the right of the living space is a tiny kitchen. To the left of the courtyard there are one or two tiny bedrooms and a bathroom. The house is cute but no more than two people could live in it. I think it last sold for close to a million. I don't know who designed it, but during the first open house some ignorant fools asked if it was an Eichler and the realtor said they weren't sure. No, it is not an Eichler. But I like it anyway. The exterior facade is really simple and beautiful - enhanced by the minimal landscaping.
